ABOUT NILES ROTARY
HISTORY
The club was chartered as the Rotary Club of Niles on December 9, 1937. The new club was the first in Southern Alameda County and the first Rotary Club to be organized in an unincorporated area in Northern California. In these respects the Rotary Club of Niles made history in one of California’s most historic communities. The club is now the Niles Rotary Club of Fremont.
The Niles club is part of Rotary International District 5170, which includes clubs in Alameda, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz and San Benito counties in the San Francisco Bay Area.
